Strangers Among The Stars

Tamerok, a Venutian, meets Nidiya, a Skikahren, in a cave where he’s taking refuge during a storm. Their species are millenia old enemies. They get to know each other and find common ground. He brings her to his ship and they build a life together. They eventually end up on a space station, where the bulk of the story is set. A surprise revelation results in a reunion with his family, although not until after they learn the truth of his estrangement from them.
